Romantic Lakeside Wedding

I was absolutely elated when Ashley and Ryan chose me to be their wedding photographer! I normally shoot weddings in the Seattle and Tacoma area, but these two allowed me to venture out into Shelton to capture their day.  These two lovebirds are high school sweethearts and have officially tied the knot. The couple held their wedding at the Shelton YMCA in Washington. It overlooked a beautiful lake and the weather was so beautiful on their special day.

Ryan & Ashley’s Story

The day started with me capturing the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready for the big day. It didn’t take too long before the beautiful bride was all dolled up and ready to make her stunning appearance. The groom was patiently waiting to see his bride on a little path in the woods. He was anxious, yet patience for the first look. The bride and groom had their first look together. It was a very private moment for the two and they also exchanged beautiful gifts during that time. Although, I think they may have had a peek or two at the gifts beforehand, LOL!  The two just couldn’t stop grinning. It was so warming to experience that with the soon to be husband and wife. I was so excited to capture them by the beautiful red truck that Ryan’s grandfather had given him. Ryan was so proud of that truck. He had spent a lot of precious time fixing it up and bringing it out to life, and of course he had to showcase all his hard work!

Shortly after that moment, the ceremony commenced. It was an emotional one. I was deeply moved by Ashley’s father. He couldn’t keep his face dry at all and I don’t blame him. He was so proud of her ! The ceremony was held inside where all their family and friends joined them while they shared their vows. It was a beautiful and warming ceremony. The two finally said their I do’s and were now officially husband and wife. They were anxious to get everything signed and sealed, and of course we had to capture some shots of the two happily married couple signing their wedding certificate.  The rest of their day brought along laughter, love, dancing, and an overall great time. It was a beautiful wedding and I was delighted to have the opportunity to share the day with these two.
